An elegant Victorian mansion greets you on arrival at Bleamoss Hall - with a surprise inside. Open the door to a riot of colour and pattern, with all the home comforts for a special gathering of up to 22 guests. The vibrant décor lifts your spirits, whether you’re in the family lounge, the brightly lit bar or one of the 11 hotel-style bedrooms.

Whatever your plans, you’re never short of entertainment here, from a snooker room with full-size table, a selection of other games, and a boombox, to the lounge, with its 75-inch TV, streaming services, X-box, and classic board games. Escape after all the fun to the colourful snug, with a book from the wide selection on the bookshelves. Cooking and dining couldn’t be more enjoyable, with a fully equipped kitchen, complete with coffee machine, air fry and wine cooler, and two splendid dining rooms.

Outside, across 26 acres, the fun continues with equipment for football, cricket, tennis, basketball and swingball. If that sounds too energetic, wander through the forest garden instead, seek out one of the three gazebos for a shaded picnic, or sink into the 16-person hot tub. All this and the Lake District is on your doorstep too, as well as Silecroft Beach, ten minutes away, where you can go kitesurfing, horse riding and nature watching.

When it’s time for bed, the ensuite rooms don’t disappoint. Spread over two upper floors, they are as colourful and inviting as the reception rooms, and you can make teas and coffees and watch TV. A lift and a wheelchair-accessible room make Bleamoss Hall a great choice for multi-generational family get-togethers.

We had the most amazing time at Bleamoss Hall...spacious, colourful and imaginatively decorated. Every room is equipped with everything you could need. We were especially impressed by the huge hot tub and the full sized snooker table. The bar was also well used. All the bedrooms are stunning, spacious and very comfortable. We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Bleamoss Hall just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

Location

Situated on a beautiful country estate on the edge of the Lake District National Park, close to the coastal town of Millom.

What are the check in and check out times?

Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 10am.
How many cars can park at the property?

There is parking for 15 cars at the property.
Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?

Yes, you can order online with Tesco for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.
Are children welcome?

Children are very welcome at Bleamoss Hall. Travel cots and highchairs are available on request (please bring your own cot linen). Please note, parents should supervise children at all times around the hot tub area.
Are pets allowed?

Up to three well-behaved dogs are allowed at Bleamoss Hall, for no additional charge. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on soft furnishings.
Are stag and hen parties allowed?

Respectful hen and stag parties are sometimes permitted, but only by prior agreement with the property owner. Please contact us before booking to discuss.
Are additional day guests allowed at the property?

Please note additional day guests are not allowed at Bleamoss Hall, so the overall capacity of the property cannot exceed 22 guests at any time.
How many guests can sit at the dining table?

There are two dining rooms, one seating 12 guests (on two tables seating 6 each) and one seating 10 guests (on one table). The dining rooms are opposite each other (one on the left of the passage as you enter the house, and the other on the right).

What is the nearest train station?

The nearest train station is Millom (4 miles).
What is the nearest airport?

The nearest airport is Manchester (110 miles).
Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?

Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at Bleamoss Hall (£2,000 for hen and stag parties). This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
