The same family has owned this country estate on the edge of the Cotswolds for 1,000 years - and now you can stay here. If you fancy a taste of life in an exquisite Palladian manor deep in the English countryside, Henriette is for you.
A Georgian sense of space and symmetry provides the backdrop to inviting rooms where you can relax and socialise, dropping into sumptuous sofas in the glow of generous log burners. Float between the drawing room, the morning room and the hall - which is also a substantial sitting room. Play the piano, win at pool in the games room and watch a movie in the cinema room. Enjoy banquets in the dining room, conscious of the history around you in the form of carved-wood panelling, antique furniture and original artworks. The kitchen is all country-cottage homely, but with everything you need to conjure up those banquets.
It’s tempting to stay indoors with all this cosy opulence, but the estate is waiting to be explored, from the private ornamental gardens to the Grade I listed park and lake. After croquet and rounders on the lawn, return to the terrace for drinks or gather round the firepit as the sun sets. Later, sleep in four-poster beds and super-comfy super-kings, kings and doubles, in rooms that have exquisite tapestries, distinctive fireplaces and amazing views, as well as luxury ensuites and private bathrooms.
This beautiful manor house is ideal for an intimate gathering, where you can enjoy a sense of grandeur while feeling totally relaxed. In the area, you can visit the Cotswolds, spot rare wildlife at Slimbridge, and drive to Bristol, Cheltenham or the Forest of Dean.

We’ve tried to think about everything to make your stay at Henriette just perfect. In all of our big houses to rent, we provide all the essential features to cater for a large group. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 10am (or 4pm if checking out on a Sunday).

How many cars can park at the property?
There is parking for 12 cars at the property.

Are children welcome?
Children are very welcome at Henriette. One travel cot (linen provided) and one highchair are available on request. Please note, parents should supervise children at all times as there are ponds within the grounds which are not fenced and a lake on the wider estate.

Are pets allowed?
Sorry, pets are not allowed at Henriette.

Are stag and hen parties allowed?
Sorry, Henriette is not suitable for hen or stag parties. We politely ask that this is respected.

Please note, additional day guests are not permitted at the property.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes, you can order online with Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Asda or Ocado for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

The dining room table can seat up to 18 guests.

Are there any other residents who live on site?
Please note, there is a permanent occupant who lives on the ground floor of the south wing. They have completely separate entrances and do not have access to the rest of the house or the garden.
There are other properties on the wider estate, but these are some distance from Henriette so will not impact your stay.

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at Henriette. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

You can check availability and pricing and place your booking request online, or by calling our team on 01242 352 747.
When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
