One of our smaller properties, but perfectly formed, Ingram House is a gorgeous stone-built cottage for up to eight guests, next to Dornoch Cathedral. It’s all relative of course, and with three reception rooms, a stunning kitchen with a quartz-topped central island, and four big bedrooms, Ingram House is plenty big enough for a celebratory getaway for family or friends in the heart of one of Scotland’s most charming seaside towns.
Walk up the garden path and step inside to a welcoming space with period features and contemporary décor which complement one another perfectly. All the front facing rooms also have lovely views of the cathedral. Relax in the snug area, where soothing tones of greys and neutrals help to restore your sense of calm. Or gather in the brightly coloured lounge with the log-burner blazing, after a day exploring Scotland’s unspoilt northeast coast.
The smart open-plan kitchen has all the mod cons you need for cooking up hearty Scottish breakfasts and celebratory dinners, with space at the kitchen island to perch and chat. The sunroom is a verdant oasis with a stylish nod towards the house’s Victorian heyday, and it opens onto a formally laid garden and terrace, where you can gather for cocktails on summer evenings.
The four supremely comfortable double bedrooms, two of which are ensuite, offer peaceful sanctuary after your Scottish adventures. What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 10am.

How many cars can park at the property?
There is off-road parking for 2 cars. There is also ample roadside parking nearby (free of charge).

Are pets allowed?
Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed at Ingram House, subject to a fee of £40 per dog. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on soft furnishings.

Are children welcome?
Children are very welcome at Ingram House. Please bring your own travel cots and highchairs if needed.

Are stag and hen parties allowed?
Mature hen and stag parties are sometimes permitted, but only by prior agreement with the property owner. Please contact us before booking to discuss.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes, you can order online with Tesco or Asda for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 4pm on the day of arrival.

How many guests can sit at the dining table?
The dining table can seat up to 8 guests.

Can you recommend any good local places to eat out?
Yes, we'd recommend the restaurant and cafe below, both only a short walk from the property:
Luigi, Dornoch (recommended by the locals)
Milk and Honey, Dornoch (perfect for breakfast, lunch or just some coffee and cake)

What is the nearest train station?
The nearest train station is Tain (9 miles).

What is the nearest airport?
The nearest airports are Inverness (50 miles) or Aberdeen (139 miles).

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £350 during your stay at Ingram House. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

How do I book?
You can check availability and pricing and place your booking request online, or by calling our team on 01242 352 747.
When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
