Windmill View is a redbrick Georgian gem, set amidst 22 acres of private grounds in rural Norfolk. It’s ideal for a close family or friends’ getaway of 12 guests (plus two on extra beds), and you can head to Norwich for city culture or hit the coast in under 20 minutes. Or you can sink into a hot tub under the big Norfolk skies and relax.
Inside the house, there’s an abundance of downstairs space, with rooms to suit your mood. In the large kitchen, make cooking easy on the centrepiece electric Aga. Serve up in the adjoining dining room, where exposed brick walls, heated flooring and a stunning atrium ceiling add warmth and a sense of grandeur. In the family living room, watch a movie on the 65” TV, or escape to the garden room, with its French doors opening onto the south-facing patio.
Wondering where everyone is? They may be potting balls in the games room, soaking up the sun in the magnificent orangery, or perhaps they’re in the courtyard gym and sauna. If you can hear the happy chatter of children, that’s because they’ve found the playroom. Outside, gather on the patio where there’s ample seating and a barbecue, wander through the gardens, orchards and paddocks, or find that hot tub in the inner courtyard. There's also the chance to book spa treatments and pamper experiences in Windmill View's own spa facilities to enhance your stay.
Everyone wins at bedtime, with six luxurious bedrooms where you’ll find feature beds and sash windows with spectacular views. Here’s a list of all the practical provisions we have at the house. If there’s anything you can’t see here but need, just ask as we’ll see what we can do.

What are the check in and check out times?
Check in is at 3pm on the day of your arrival and check out is at 12pm.

How many cars can park at the property?
There is parking for 10 cars at the front of the property.

Can I arrange a supermarket delivery to the house?
Yes, you can order online with Tesco, Waitrose, Ocado or Sainsbury's for a delivery direct to the house. We usually suggest booking a delivery for after 3pm on the day of arrival.

How many guests can sit at the dining table?
The dining table can seat up to 10 guests comfortably (and can be extended to seat 14 guests).

Are children welcome?
Children are very welcome at Windmill View. One travel cot and one highchair are available on request (please bring your own cot linen). Please note, parents should supervise children at all times as there is a pond feature and hot tub in the grounds.

Are pets allowed?
Up to four well-behaved dogs are allowed at Windmill View, for no additional charge. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on soft furnishings.

Are stag and hen parties allowed?
Respectful hen and stag parties are sometimes permitted, but only by prior agreement with the property owner. Please contact us before booking to discuss.

Yes, we'd recommend the following pubs, both within a short distance of the property:

Will you hold a damage deposit during our stay?
Yes, we ask to hold a cautionary deposit of £1,000 during your stay at Windmill View. This is requested just two weeks prior to your stay, and is returned shortly after, assuming no damage to the property or its contents (see our Booking T&Cs for more information).

When booking, we ask for a deposit of 33% of the total price, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to your stay (or the full balance when booking within 12 weeks of your stay).
